Elements of antique Oushak designs are the bases for this very unique collection. Each special design in this collection of hand knotted rugs from India is created through the masterful use of soft subtle shades of colors. HRI's unique finishing wash brings out the silky patina of the finely spun New Zealand wool. These rugs have the look and feel of a rug that would certainly cost three times more than the Gramercy Collection. The over sized scale of very soft washed design elements results in a collection of rugs that can be placed in both contemporary as well as traditional settings.

The look and the feel of fine antique Persian masterpieces has been recreated in the Master Craft collection. This quality is totally new to the market. From Turkey, this machine made is a cross woven Wilton construction of a very dense polyester pile. Polyester is not on soil resistant but wears great and is the only synthetic fiber that reflects color most like a fine wool. These rugs capture the sophistication and refinement of the classical 11th century Safavid court carpets, all woven in stunning jewel-toned colors. The actual pieces duplicated are from the middle of the 19th century, woven by master weavers such as Kurban Dai and Faradji in Tabriz.
